Fly’n’Roll Moves with Merino
Olivier Peyre and Nadège Perrot, also known as the “Fly’n’Roll” team, are taking on an amazing 8-year travel adventure. Fly’n’Roll is a non-motorized trip around the world by foot, bike, paraglide and sailboat. Olivier left Grenoble in 2008 and was joined later by Nadège. They will finish their circumnavigation of the globe in 2016, completing the adventure of a lifetime with zero carbon emissions.
The theme of their travels is, “No dream is too far fetched,” which reminds us that any challenge is within ones reach. As a 15-year old, Olivier read the book, “On a roulé sur la terre” (We rode our bikes around the world), by Sylvain Tesson and Alexandre Poussin, which tells the story of their one year bike trip around the world. This book was a revelation for him, “Since they proved that it was possible, I decided that I would do it my way when the right time came. This dream followed me everywhere until the day it came true.”
The En Route Avec Aile – Fly’n’Roll team has been sporting lightweight Icebreaker T-shirts to help beat the extreme heat of their travels around the globe. Join us in wishing Olivier and Nadège the best of luck and happy travels!
What a cool concept, zero emissions travel makes the travelling part a lot more interesting.
